RODBALL is an exterior ballistics program for serious varmint shooters, big-game hunters, benchrest competitors, long-range target shooters, and other shooting enthusiasts.

Here's what RODBALL can do!

Calculates bullet path, bullet drop, energy, time-of-flight, remaining velocity, and wind deflection at any desired range and under any atmospheric conditions. Bullet path is displayed in both Inches and Minute-of-Angle format. RODBALL compensates for changes in air density by calculating an "effective" ballistic coefficient for the specified altitude, air temperature, and barometric pressure. The user may also specify wind velocity, wind direction, and uphill/downhill angle-of-fire.

Calculates the bullet path at any desired range and the corresponding zero-range using bullet path data at a known range.

Calculates point-blank range and point-blank zero-range while allowing the user to specify the +/- deviation from line-of-sight. RODBALL also calculates the bullet path at 100 yards required for this condition.

Calculates the ballistic coefficient of a bullet from the instrumental velocities at 2 known ranges and infers muzzle velocity from instrumental velocity.

Calculates the lead required to hit a moving target at any specified range, target velocity, and target direction of travel.

Calculates the impulse, free-recoil velocity, and recoil energy for any specified firearm and load combination, including shotgun and black powder loads.

Statistically evaluates a series of instrumental velocities and calculates average velocity, extreme spread, and standard deviation.

Calculates the unit and per-box costs of reloaded rifle, handgun,and shotgun ammunition using specified prices for cases, primers, powder, shot wads, shot, bullets, etc. The cost of cartridge cases may be distributed over any specified number of reloadings.

Includes a built-in database of ballistic coefficients for over 350 popular rifle bullets in 13 calibers, as manufactured by Barnes, Berger, Hornady, Nosler, Sierra, and Speer.
