November Testimonial Alisha's professional style of writing was instrumental in bringing One Flesh's bio to life for our press kit. Alisha was very thorough in trying to capture the essence of the band with her words. Paying very close attention to details about the band's history and what we stand for were her strong points. The result was a very clear description of the band's history and the steps we are taking in the future. She even gave us suggestions of what we could do to further get our band noticed. When we showed up in Phoenix Arizona for the first show of our tour supporting our record, we were in every major publication. Alisha did all of this. We have the sexiest press kit any unknown band could have. Before Alisha, we had none. My emails from Alisha regarding progress were so abundant that sometimes updates were not read until we got another one, which usually reminded me that we needed to read the last one. I never needed to read them because I knew that Alisha was working her ass off. Alisha provided any help she could with pushing our career along. We sold records because of reviews Alisha was able to get for us. Eating breakfast in Phoenix with my brother was weird because I was thumbing through the datebook section and saw my picture. Then the lady serving us breakfast saw it and wanted an autograph. Little did she know…! Alisha told us what pictures looked good and what looked bad. Quite frankly I think they all look bad, but at least she was nice about it. Alisha looks really rock and roll when you first meet her but does a good job anyway. I look really rock and roll and have never really done that good of a job but Alisha can do it! One time when we ran out of stickers she had a good idea. The next day the stickers came. Nubs Testimonial from Geno Lucero, Drums Alisha's organizational skills, professional demeanor, and personal style were immediately apparent. Taking a punk band from 20 years of obscurity into the present environment had to be a challenge, but she was undaunted and determined. She arranged photo sessions for our promo picture, got band logo stickers printed, introduced us to other bands for potential gigs, and constantly sent us informative tips and online sources for our own use. She initiated work on our press kit just before we started getting heavy airplay on KUSF. As timing is everything to a successful PR campaign, she suggested several bands whom she felt would be part of a great lineup for our CD release show. She also took the time to check if their booking schedules would work with ours. which was sent to numerous local and national publications. Her efforts resulted in the S.F. Guardian reviewing our first CD just 3 days prior to the scheduled CD release show. To our amazement, our promo photo was prominently placed. What a real rush that was!
