Bowl of Peaches

TONY JANKOWSKI

BOWL OF PEACHES

Oil on Canvass, 9" x 12"

Tony Jankowski was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His parents came from Lithuania to Buenos Aires just after the first world war. From early childhood he was exposed to nordic art, and at the age of five, with the encouragement of his mother who had been a teacher in Lithuania, he began to draw and paint. From then on his inspiration has never ceased.

At the beginning of his career as an artist, Jankowski dedicated himself to figural art portraits, landscapes, murals, Greek and renaissance art. Now his interests have turned to nature (growth and movement) and specifically to seascapes, landscapes and still life. He is also commissioned for his portraits.

To complement his art, he plays flamenco and classical guitar which helps him in attaining rhythm, dynamics and aesthetics in his designs.

His paintings have been shown at leading galleries throughout California, Central and South America. Many of his paintings have been sold to businesses, gallery owners, art investors, and private collectors.
