POLITICS IN THE OC
The OC Political Scene
In the aftermath of his 80 Million Dollar Plus
Special Election
California Taxpayers should be energized to finish the job this November
And send The Terminator back to the studio where he belongs
To his credit Arnold the Governor has learned to change his political positions as easily as he
Changed characters in Hollywood
In the recall election he ran as a middle of the road Republican
Arnold then morphed into a conservative
He picked fights with Unions,Teachers,Nurses,Cops and Fireman
He got his ass kicked
Now he's taken a hard left turn
Which almost puts him back in the middle again
He's gambling the voters will forgot that he cost the taxpayers 80 million dollars last year
In 2003 Arnold was the friend of education
In 2004 Arnold became the slasher of education
And now he's Arnold the saviour of education
The man who has taken more "Special Interest" money
Than any Governor in our history
Is now attacking "Special Interest" groups again
He used those same lines in 2003, they worked then
So why not a sequel
Arnold the Actor has really re-invented himself for 2006
He selected a Democrat named Kennedy
From the Gray Davis administration to be his Chief Of Staff
He promised to re-build California in a way not seen since
Democrat Pat Brown was Governor in the 60's
Hopefully Jerry dosen't start calling him daddy
Still Schwarzenegger's polling numbers are dismal
They show him just a little higher than his buddy George Bush
There was a time when a few Wacko Repo's were seriously thinking
About changing the Constitution so Arnold could run for President
In late 2005 these same folks were inviting Arnold to go hunting
With Dick Cheney
Orange County Politics will be very interesting this year
In the 40th CD and the 71st AD we have Union Members seeking office
In the 40th CD
Labor Attorney Florice Hoffman has thrown her hat in the ring
Against worthless slug Ed Royce
For those political junkies with a memory out there
Remember the other Labor Attorney who decided to run for Congress from OC?
It was our former Executive Secretary-Treasurer of the
Orange County Central Labor Council Linda Sanchez
Unfortunately for us she ended up in LA County in the 39th CD
In my humble opinion Linda is the best Congressional Representative in the nation on labor issues
Back to the 40th CD
Florice has the credentials, Florice has the drive
Florice will force Royce to actually show up in his District
And defend his miserable record
In the 71st AD it's UFCW Member Charlie La Chance
Taking on Todd Spitzer
Spitzer is the most anti-union SOB in the OC
He's a career politician who's never held a real job in his life
Charlie La Chance is a working mom and will emphasize the difference
Between working for a living and being born into privlege
This is an opportunity to actually elect an Assembly Member
That truly represents the working families in the 71st AD
Both Florice and Charlie has the backing of CWA and the Orange County Central Labor Council
The HOT race in 2006
Is for the 34th Senate Seat
It's County Supervisor and Former Assemblymember
Lou Correa vs Lynn (I hate all Union Members) Daucher
The 34th Senate Seat is the #1 priority for the California GOP in 2006
And they will put plenty of their $$ into this one
As the 2006 Election approaches
Keep checking back for more
