Wrote, formatted, edited, and produced installation guides for various Ethernet adapters, including a PCMCIA card, ISA cards, and a parallel-port adapter. Documented installation under Personal NetWare, LANtastic, and Microsoft Windows.
Wrote, formatted, edited, and produced user's guide for Fast Ethernet hub and 10/100 bridge. Documented installation and use of products and Ethernet guidelines. Created index and laid out camera-ready pages. Updated and laid out installation guide for an eight-port Ethernet hub.
Wrote user's guide for a converter used to attach nodes on an Ethernet network to an ATM switch.
Updated and wrote substantial portions of a user's guide for an ISDN terminal adapter. Documented installation and use of product with Macintosh, DOS, Windows, Windows 95, and Windows NT configuration software.
Updated and produced manuals for Macintosh personal fax/modem products. Also wrote and laid out user's guide for a Macintosh network fax product. Updated user's guide for a network fax/modem that runs under DOS and Windows.
Wrote and updated user's guides for LAN printer-sharing products, including a TCP-IP-compatible print server. Documented device installation and print-server setup on host, as well as device-configuration steps. Also documented print-server products that work with Novell Netware and run on Ethernet, Token Ring, and Arcnet networks.
Working with one other writer, wrote significant portions of user's guides for satellite receivers/routers running under LINUX.
Wrote, formatted, edited, and produced user's guide and getting started guide for T1/E1 Channel Service Unit/Data Service Unit (CSU/DSU). Documentation included detailed instructions describing how to set up the unit and configure T1 options (including how to select the correct line framing and line encoding methods, as well as the available T1 bandwidth). Wrote instructions based on product use and interviews with engineers. Also documented statistical performance reporting and alarm-generation features based on product use and relevant standards documents (including RFC1406 and 54016). Also created FrameMaker document templates for both manuals.
