Fake-it mlp charm bracelet
Fake-it mlp bracelet was inspired by the 03’ movie as well as that money order charm bracelet that was overall lacking in any “Woot”. Here you can recreate Kimono’s bracelet, create a mlp charm bracelet that is uniquely yours or create a One World Pony charm bracelet. Maybe you’ll make all three!
You will need:
Shrinky Dinks Rough n Ready
Colored Pencils
Charm jumper rings
Needle nose pliers
Baking sheet
An oven or a conventional oven (no microwaves)
Bracelet perferable a charm bracelet, but any bracelet with gaps that you can attach to will do (I used a regular bracelet I found from Walmart).
Cutie Mark images: If you want to copy mine, use the charm images from the G3 coloring books. Remember Shrinky Dinks shrink 1/3 their original size. I shrunk them from the coloring books but I can't remember the exact size. Ideally you want to try to keep all the charms about the same size. You can get more creative and charm other pony symbols like mine. Here's my charm (this is about the same size you want your image):
Copy the picture by drawing on the ruff side. Cut it out but, cutting it close to the image is risky, I recommend cutting it ¼ inch from the image. Also keep in mind that you’ll need an area to create a hole that you will hole punch *before* you bake it. To bake your charms: you can follow the directions that comes with the plastic or you can listen to me. I prefer to bake them in an oven at a preheated temp of 285 degrees for about 3 minutes. You want to see them curl and flatten before you take them out. Use the needle nose pliers to open the jumper rings and attach them to the bracelet. When you are finished please send me a picture of your work and I may post it here.
