The following table, excerpted from Sinclair's book, explains the different labels and stampings on Divine rods and the years they were used.  These markings apply to both bait and fly rods.

Same as #4 only with numeric s/n underneath

Mark #6

Same as mark #5 only with s/n on opposite side of butt cap, or in another location, and with letter in s/n.

1910-1916

Mark #7

Marking #7 White
While this decal is the most commonly seen, occasionally one like that below appears, it has an olive background and finer lettering:

Decal on rod shaft, s/n on reel seat hardware. *

1917 - 1926

Again, while the white background is the most common, there are also some with a transparent background:

The most elegant of all.  Not visible on the scan are small flourishes at each of the decals four corners.
