The familiar bag and tube
arrangement assumed many forms in Divines starting around 1920. My favorite is in
the top photo. This is an oversized tube with an attractive rope knurled cap and a
luxuriously thick velveteen bag. It's very easy to insert and remove the rod
sections and it has a rich feel.
The middle photo has a standard size tube with a diamond knurled nickel
silver cap. The tube still has it's label. The bag is a light muslin.
The bottom photo is a late model Divine tube. The tube labels had
been replaced with the bag tag, and a middle weight canvas bag is used. |
