IMPORTANT:
It is the student’s responsibility to make sure the professor is aware of any circumstances which may affect the student’s learning or accessibility to learning. The professor is an extremely approachable individual and will be happy to talk during office hours or at other times convenient to both student and professor. He is also an email person. Watch him, however, as he grows impatient with repeated excuses and constant recitations of extenuating circumstances. He is fond of children and is sentimental about baseball and the First Amendment. You might keep this in mind as he can be worked easily if gently led into a discussion (His adult son and daughters learned this many years ago and artfully exploit him to this day. He loves it).
