Why?
When I wrote a guide for new Internet users in 1992, I couldn't answer three questions:
- How to keep from getting e-mail spam?
- How to view different languages on the Web?
- How to get everybody on the Internet?
So when I got the chance, I founded an anti-spam organization (www.cauce.org), joined the Unicode and Free Software movements, and became the Simputer Evangelist for Encore Technologies.
Now I work with oneVillage Foundation on plans to end poverty at a profit, responding to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan's It Challenge to Silicon Valley.
