| West Side Theatre Located at 1331 Main Street, in Newman, CA approximately 2 hours from San Jose, San Francisco, and/or Fresno. The cities of Modesto and Merced are within 30 miles. The theatre is a restored 1940 movie house now serving as a performing arts venue. It is operated by a nonprofit foundation. All staff are volunteers. Musical performers are booked for Friday or Saturday nights, with Saturdays strongly preferred. There are approximately 200 seats in the house.
