Tae Kwon Do is a Korean system of self-defense. It has its roots among the oldest of martial art forms from the Orient. While Tae Kwon Do includes many types of techniques, it is characterized primarily by long, powerful kicking motions. Tae Kwon Do is a philosophy. It utilizes the practice of a martial art as a mean of achieving both mental and physical harmony. The Academy seeks to develop the "whole" the student, both the mind and the body. |
