What Traditional Oriental Medicine is not

There are several treatment protocols that are not considered proper in the spirit of practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  Traditional Oriental Medical Diagnosis is based on a model that is consist.  Proper diagnosis is possile with this model such that a person will receive the same diagnosis from properaly trained practitioners of Oriental Medicine.  While they may be effective when practiced by a properly trained individual, for reasons of law, unrelatedness to Traditional Oriental Medicine or unproven technology, they are not considered to be in the scope of practice of Acupuncture. 
 
  • Homeopathy
  • Pendulants
  • Muscle testing (O-Ring)
  • Aromatherapy
  • Testing Machines
Treatments using devices other than an electro-stimulation machine are concidered byound the scop of practice of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in California and in other states as well. 
These devices may not be used or prescribed by acupuncturists in California.
