Technician theory will be taught in this accelerated class. You will NOT need any previous background in theory or electronics to be successful in this class. HAM Radio demonstrations, as well as equipment recommendations are an important part of this class. FCC rule changes now give the Amateur Radio Technician Operator VHF ( 2 Meters ) and UHF ( 440 MHz) privileges above 30 MHz. These privileges include: The Popular 2 Meter Band, 220 MHz Band, 440 Mhz Band, The exciting local and sometimes long distance 6 Meter band. Your Technician License also includes: license privileges for Amateur Satellite operation, Amateur Television, Autopatch and Packet Radio (Ham Radio Connected to an Amateur Radio Modem and a Computer). The Amateur Radio Technician Theory written examination will be administered during the last hour of class.

Special Emphasis on GOOD Operating Procedures on the HF Bands. Remember, we HAMS are like "Ambassadors" for the United States when talking to other Countries. Recent FCC rule changes have eliminated the Morse Code requirement for the General Class License.
