¡Hola! I am in love with Spain! Here I am in the city of Toledo, at one of the largest cathedrals in Christendom. The cathedral was built on the site of a 7th century church. Construction of the cathedral was from 1226 to 1493. Spain is a very safe country to visit. No guns, no violence, no fighting -- in spite of the fact that everyone goes from tapas bar, to tapas bar....
The unique Semana Santa (Easter week) festivals of Spain lured me to this country. This is more celebrated than the Christmas season. It seems as if everyone in Spain participates. The floats, costumes and processions are beautiful and inspirational. And these people really know how to party! Enough to keep me up till 6 AM -- the night before Easter. The outfits worn by the Nazarenos and Nazarenas are shown in my photo (left, below) taken during one of the processions in the city of Sevilla in the Andalucian region. The middle photo is a view of the beginning of a procession emerging from an old church in Sevilla. The far right photo is a close up of a float:
