Did You Know Clyde?

Years from now a couple of us who are left 
    will be creaking down the sidewalk
And some tourist will ask, "Do you live here?  
    Did you know Clyde?"
And when we answer, he'll yell to his buddies, 
"Hey, come here, these old guys knew Clyde.  
    You know, he was enlightened!"
