With the passing of Overlook Farwa, the world lost the last direct son of Abu Farwa.  This means the closest breeding is to sons of sons.  Considering how popular Abu Farwa was in his day and the success of his decendants in the show ring right up to today, it could be assumed that the sire line was safe.  Recently, I started adding up the direct sire line decendants and came up with very few.  Here are some of the horses I have actually seen.  They were all alive and stallions the last I saw them, but that may have changed with the passing of the years.

Galan     (out of Saadi by Rifnas)

Galan was US National Top Ten at park.  He was also my favorite Abu Farwa son, though I have only seen him in video footage and in his mark on his descenants.  As far as I can determine, Galan has only a few breeding sons including  GA Topaz,  Revran Maxim, Green Acre's Sage, and Sage's full blood brother Merlann.  (Crown of Gold may still be a stallion as well, but his status is unknown at this time.)

This stallion was rescued from a life of obscurity by his loving owner, Judee Brown of Vacaville, CA.  He is now having a chance to sire foals out of CMK mares.

Overlook Farwa    (out of  Al-Marah Zaibaq by Indraff)  US National Champion stock horse.  He was last owned by Belesemo Arabians.  They bred many mares to him so may have a stallion or two of their own from this line.
