Why is 14pt card stock so important? 14pt has become the industry standard for rich, substantial feeling postcards and business cards. Don't let your postcards get lost in a stack of mail on someones desk just because it feels light and flimsy. Make a statement with heavy 14pt card stock!
How does UV coating compare to AQ? UV adds a stonger protective high gloss finish that has the look and feel of a truly hi-end marketing message. It also resists the post offices mail sorting equipments ability to scuff your ad (and usually in the most important place...like your phone number!). Gloss AQ is a lighter gloss finish that adds some protection against scuffing but primarily serves to seal the ink.

File Preparation: These special projects must be submitted in CMYK color, eps format. The fonts must be outlined, all images embedded (not linked) and layers/transparencies flattened. Bleeds should be set to a minimum of 1/8" around all sides and there should be NO critical cutting specifications. If you are ready to email your file, please make sure the file is either Stuffed or Zipped prior to emailing then go here. You may email files up to 12 mg in size. For larger files, please call customer service at 310-289-1968 for our upload site info. SLB Printing is not responsible for improperly prepaired client files.
4/1 = full color on 1 side with flood UV varnish and the 2nd side printed in black ink without UV.
4/4 = full color on 2 sides with flood UV varnish on both (if this card is going to be mailed, labels will have to be used instead of ink jetting).
We print our postcards and business cards on extra heavy 14 pt, coated card stock with ultra high gloss, UV varnish added to the entire full color side(s).
The fine print:
Orders must be prepaid in full after submission of your digital file. Pricing includes 1 pdf proof to be emailed to you. You will be charged a minimum fee of $35.00 if you choose to cancel your order for any reason after a pdf proof is made from your supplied file. You may request that SLB Printing attempt to fix any problems with your file for an additional charge or you may resubmit new files with changes of your choice or that we recommend or deem necessary for a successful print job. Additional minimum charges of at least $22.50 apply for each time you resubmit changed or altered files for any reason.
Shipping will be added to your final cost.
California businesses will have sales tax added.
An invoice will be emailed or faxed to you after receipt of your digital file.
