WHY I MADE THIS FIGURE: Many Famous Covers collectors weren't exactly pleased with the version of Cyke that was released to the stores....most prefer his classic costume that he wore for over twenty years, which fits in with the 1970's X-Men theme started by Famous Covers Storm in series 1. So I went ahead and fixed the figure for the better. This wasn't really a difficult custom, but it was a very necessary one....Cyclops just didn't fit in with the rest of the FC figures wearing such a "modern" uniform. So here he is with a new body type, and wearing his sleek, fan-favorite classic costume....

Brown hair--generic doll hair.
Bodysuit--too complex to explain (really!).

WHY I MADE THIS FIGURE: Many Famous Covers collectors weren't exactly pleased with the version of Rogue that appeared on retail shelves, so I took it upon myself to make a more "universal" looking Rogue in a more fan-pleasing, "classic" costume. I chose her 1989 costume, often called her "Marc Silvestri" costume by X-Men fans, which combined the best elements of her character. It kept the classic Rogue colors (black and green), but still gave her the long, flowing hair that Rogue is now famous for. And even though this isn't Rogue's very first suit, it's still close enough to her "classic" costume that she doesn't look out-of-place standing next to 1970's FC Storm. Also, I added a fist from the Storm body type, so Rogue could actually punch people, a detail sorely missing from the retail store version. So here's Rogue in her sleek, simple, fan-pleasing "Marc Sylvestri" costume....

WHY I MADE THIS FIGURE: Many Famous Covers collectors weren't exactly pleased with the version of Sabretooth that graced retail shelves, so I took it upon myself to change the figure for the better. As many other collectors do, I prefer Sabretooth's classic look, which maintains the 1970's X-Men theme started in series 1 by Famous Covers Storm. This is one of the most difficult customs I've ever done (I hate sewing with a vengance) but it turned out to be one of my absolute favorites. It's too bad that this version of Sabretooth wasn't the one that was mass-produced, since it's more pleasing to kids and collectors, and looks to be less complicated and more cost-effective than his modern suit. So here's Sabretooth in his sleek, fan-favorite classic costume that he wore for over a decade....
