Research Consulting, 1996-Present, CA, NJ
Provide technical and analytical assistance with social, demographic,
and health research. Examples of consulting engagements:
- Currently working with researchers at Princeton University,
Georgetown University, and UCLA on an NIH-funded project
investigating the effects of social environment on morbidity
and mortality among the elderly in Taiwan.
- Estimated multivariate linear and logistic regression models
predicting parent readiness for a chapter of a Commonwealth
Fund book based on results from a national survey of families
with young children.
- Analyzed data collected in a survey of residents of a planned
community in New Jersey for a study of community cohesion.
- Calculated patterns of teen sexual activity and contraceptive
use based on a national survey and combined with population
estimates in order to project the number of teen pregnancies
averted due to contraceptive use for a study funded by the
California Wellness Foundation.
