Nice site. I shall contribute the Dudley link when I find it.
Thanks for you information.

By the way, is there a Darche family association?

Hello, nice site, interesting. I'm sure we are related. I'm originally from Hartford, CT.(b. 1960). Several relatives are still in that area. We are decendants of Oswald D'Arche (b. 189? d. 198?.

This site is way to cool Cuz!! I can see you worked very hard and took pride in putting it together. It was cool to see a Phil Darche on your guest book that is a desendent from Ozzie/Oswald Darche, who is Leontine Darches brother. Leontine is my Grandmother. That makes Ozzie my dads uncle and my 2nd uncle. I must get a hold of Phil and introduce myself cause I'm from W. Hartford and live in newington. I'd like to know where he falls into Ozzie. I never saw him in the phone book. He must have a unlisted number. I know (from research) that all the darches listed in CT. are related to us. Keep up the good work and when I get the vidio on the Darch family tree, that my cuz is putting together, I'll get a copy to ya. Regards, Your Cuz Bob Maigret

Your website is very impressive--and very informative for my husband and myself. My husband is Jeremey Christopher Roy, son of Norman Ernest Roy, grandson of Joseph A. N. Norman Roy, great grandson of Theophile J. Roy and Corrinne D'Arche. You provided some extra information to our family tree (thank you!). If I can offer anything on this end, please let me know. We are just starting to research both sides of our families. Jeremey's is much easier to do than mine.

Hi

I noticed that you are a descendent of Sophie Foisy and Alexis D'Arche. Are you aware the Sophie was Frere Andre's Aunt. I an a descendant of Francois Barsalou who was the Brother of Marie-Ursule Barsalou, the wife of Claude Foisy.

If you need more information on your cousin Frere Andre, let me know.

A distant relative through marriage.

So glad I found another Darche. Will have to tell my mother about you. Am going from here to the rest of your website to check things out.

You are a very distant cousin of my husbands. I have added quite a few names to your side of the tree thanks to your site. Your common ancestor with my husband would be the first Darche in North American, Barthelémy. If you are interested in contacting me, feel free to do so, I have quite a few ancestors that you don't have!

My son, Chris Martin has just sent me so much wonderful information that you had passed on to him through your research. What an incredible job you have done!
I am Marjorie Sargent Martin, daughter of Walter E., and Evelyn A. (Robertson), Sargent. My paternal grandparents were, Davis B., and Cordelia (D'Darche), Sargent.
Never having known either of my Dad's parents, I so welcome any new information about my Grandmother, Cordelia. There is much that we have regarding my Grandpa Davis, but a lot of that came from closer family ties, and Chris' endeavors, and his interest in the Civil War. Can't believe I am still finding out information about my ancestor's, that I was not aware of, and I will be 84 next September. Did Chris tell you that he is from a large family? Five girls and four boys. He was my sixth child. He has a darling wife and four great sons, 15, 17, 19, and 21. Two in college already.
Thank you for sharing so much of what you have discovered and found. I know it represents years of research.

I tried contacting Margie, but her e-mail address is no longer good. I'd like to post this in case she looks at the guest book again...
Hi Margie!
I saw your posting only yesterday on Dave's site and decided to write to you. My husband is a distant cousin of Dave's and his site was
quite useful in my research of the Darche family. He didn't put in the name of your grandfather Davis' parents (I like to put in the names of the parents where possible). Did he fight in the Civil war? You mentioned that there was some connection. I also like putting in information such as occupation, where the person lived etc, makes the family tree look
less like a phone book!!
Thanks for any information you are willing to share!

My Dad John Hirschbeck was Anton Hirschbecks son and Louis Hirschbeks nephew. We visited many years ago and Pat and John came to visit my parents John and Josephine Hirschbeck in WA state. It is nice to see this website.
I tried to contact Pat and John by email but it came back and also sent them a letter telling them of my Dads recent passing.
Again thank you for the webiste.
Sincerely,
Joy Jean Hirschbeck Hughes

The Darche name is still present in Chambly. In the ’40, M.Darche (don’t remember first name) open a funeral home. The Darche family sold there business but there is still a Darche Funeral Home on Bourgogne Street, Chambly, Qc.
