Moshe Rudinow
Moshe Rudinow was a gifted singer, endowed with a
voice of great beauty and sensitivity. It won the
admiration of all who heard him. He had a wide range
of musical interests and his repertoire included opera,
oratorio, German lieder, Russian songs and Bach's
sacred cantatas. His responsibilities at Emanu El
limited his opportunities to perform publicly. One rare
exception was an appearance as soloist with the
Philidelphia Symphony under Leopold Stokowski in a
performance of Stravinsky's "Oedipus Rex" and "Les
Noces".
Moshe Rudinow died in Oakland, California in 1953.

Moshe's recordings are now available on a CDproduced by Joel Rudinow. E-mail me for orders and information. The voices on this CD are part of our cherished heritage, the voices of our grandparents. We are grateful to our parents and others who recorded them by the technologies available at the time and who kept those fragile recordings safe from our clumsy hands through the years. In making this recording playable on current technologies we hope to make these voices and pieces available as a foundation for future creations. Below is the the biography edited by Ann Rudinow-Saetnan.
