Good news, the insurance waivers are posted on our web site: http://palekai.org/.
A link is easily found on the home page as well as other locations on the site.
ALL PADDLERS MUST SIGN BEFORE ENTERING ONE OF OUR CANOES.

If you are taking out someone who you are not sure has signed, don't count on finding waivers in the shed. Just download and bring to the site. Waivers may be in the shed as well. If they are not in the shed, and you did not bring one, the paddler can not go out. Please put signed waivers in the top drawer of the file cabinet.

If a paddler is allowed to go out in one of our canoes without first signing a USCA club waiver, the steersman will lose PKO paddling privileges for one month and the other paddling members will lose privileges for one week. A second offense will lead to a loss of membership to steersman and a month suspension for member paddlers.

I hate to be the heavy, but this has to happen to protect our club.

Demo Day from John Secunda
Pale Kai will be scheduling a Demo Day in the near future for all adult individuals who are interested in learning the fundamentals of Hawaiiain Outrigger paddling and who may, as a result, be interested in joining the club next year. If you have a relative or friend who has expressed a serious interest in "trying it out," please have that person contact John Secunda (544-1066 or johnksecunda@yahoo.com) or Laurel Dunning (459-1170 or lldunning@yahoo.com ). Waivers would need to be signed in advance of their paddling. More details about this Demo Day will be provided once potential interest has been determined. Thanks.
