Our Sponsors
The primary sponsorship objective this year was to be more proactive in generating interest and support of Pale Kai Outrigger in the surrounding community. We specifically approached businesses that were in the athletic/health and fitness, nutrition and recreational arenas so that there was a value added component to our sponsorships.

As a result, we had another successful year in obtaining great sponsorships that are aligned with the club's competitive & pleasure interests. Previous sponsors were retained and a variety of new ones obtained. Most may be familiar to you: Mountain Air Sports, Moondoggies Beach Club, Central Coast Kayaks and Avila Beach Golf Resort. Health-In-Motion (www.health-in-motion.net), a chiropractic center in San Luis Obispo and A Vital Touch, a massage therapy practice in Shell Beach that is owned and operated by Pale Kai member, Eva Castro have also committed to continue their annual sponsorships.

But there are a host of new sponsors like Fluid (www.livefluid.com), a company formed by two Cal Poly graduates who created a dynamic muscle recovery drink used and endorsed by Olympic athletes, Avila Lighthouse Suites and Oak Park Wellness in Arroyo Grande (www.oakparkwellness.com). In addition to A Vital Touch, there are two new sponsors that are owned by club members: Avila Bay Athletic Club ( Neil Tartiff ) and High Street Market and Deli ( Doobie ) in San Luis Obispo.

Three other business entities: French Medical Hospital Center, San Luis Sports Therapy/Athlon Fitness and Dohi Farm, owned and operated by club member, Hugh Dohi donated significant monies to sponsor another successful Pineapple Express race event this year. And Avila Beach Community Foundation and Pancho's Surf Shop continue to be significant supporters of the club's popular Keiki youth program.

All of the above mentioned companies are supporting the forward movement of Pale Kai Outrigger. For our sponsorship program to be successful, all club members should make every effort to support them back. All members are strongly encouraged to patronize these companies by purchasing the products and services that they sell and offer.
