A sage plant is in the family Lamaiaceae It can be grown as a Perennial,Anual Or Shrub. My favorite Sages are the Salvias. Some Characteristics of the plant are...

1.Two flowers seemingly together, distinctly spaced along the stalk. 2.They Enjoy Full Sun 3.Sages enjoy Aridity 4.Vary in color such as...

White to Yellow Pink to scarlet Pale Lavender To True Blue Blue to Dark Purple

As I listed above salvias come in a wide variety of colors. They range in height from short shrubs to splendid giants as tall as five ft!! They thrive in sun so if one forets to water them a few days they are even more beautiful than when last watered. For these reasons, I have them all over my backyard. My friends and relatives think that I have a green thumb!

The salvias that I have collected and am still growing are

1.Salvia Splendens 2.Salvia Superba 3.Salvia Purple Rain 4.Salvia Greggi 5.Salvia blepharophylia 6.Salvia Leucantha

If you are not familiar with the appearance of the salvias mentioned above, please refer to the list below.
