Dyno Testing the 355 SuperRam motor
I went to Frey Racing in Mt. View to complete some dyno tuning. The goal was to dial in the fuel and timing curves in the DFI to net the best overall power curve. I had them weld in an oxygen sensor bung into the exhaust system in the 3" Y-pipe to utilize their expensive Horiffa A/F meter in order to help me dial in the WOT fuel curve. I had mixed results, I was able to smooth out the curve which started out to rich - but I didn't pick up peak HP or torque. I did smooth out the HP curve, if you plot the final run against the previous runs you can see some minor dips in the curve that were corrected. The AF ratio now starts out around 13:1 from 3-4Krpm, then gradually moves down to12:1 as the RPM 's increase. Overall it's now a fairly flat curve staying in the average range of 12.5:1.
Results
Peak HP = 310 (corrected rwhp) - est 360 crank hp
Peak Torque = 376 (corrected rwlb-ft) - est 430 lb-ft crank
RPM: 3900 @ peak torque and 4800 @ peak hp
