In 1969 Joyce and Dave Middleton attended the American Carnival Glass Club Convention in the Los Angeles area. At the convention banquet they shared a table with other Bay Area Carnival Glass collectors, Including Connie and Don Moore, Gladyce and Benny Nelson and Millard Orr.

    This got Joyce and Dave thinking about starting a Carnival Glass Club in Northern California. they got some of their collector friends together and decided to give it a shot.They went through the rosters for  the American and International Carnival Glass Clubs and gleaned out all the Northern California and surrounging area addresses they could find and did a mailing. There were 70 people at the first meeting, which was held in San Jose.

    Founded mainly for Carnival Glass Collectors in Northern California the club has had members from as far away as Australia.

    Meeting 4 times a year, with one meeting coupled with a convention and auction the  club is now in its 37th year.
