Welcome!
This site represents the practice of Dr. Wayne Anderson, board certified
neurologist and pain management physician. Dr. Anderson is a part of the
Pain Management Center and the
St Mary's Spine Center located adjacent to
St. Mary's Medical Center
in San Francisco, California.
Both the Pain Management Center and the Spine Center encompass the practices
of several medical physicians, osteopathic physicians, surgeons, therapists,
pain resource nurses, and the like, each working not only independently but
also together, for the benefit of the patient.
We provide compassionate and effective care to the person with neurological
disease or chronic pain. Both neurological diseases and chronic pain can
affect the quality of life: fear, isolation, loss of self-esteem, loss of
employment. We listen and we try to provide the appropriate care to help the
patient return to society with dignity.
We want each individual person to participate in the healing process and we
strive to educate and explain. We recognize the importance of treating the
whole person and therefore we have an understanding of complementary
therapies as well as conventional medical and surgical therapies. In
addition to the standard treatments and procedures, we also provide certain
complementary therapies such as acupuncture and nutritional care or we are
happy to provide information about complementary care practitioners in your
area.
