Velvet Tone Studios was founded on the idea of providing the Sacramento area with world class recording. With fully floating room construction, world class monitoring system and gear that you would only expect to find in L.A.

From our vast collection of vintage gear (Pultec, Teletronix, Neve, Neumann, Urei, API, Etc...) and a diverse microphone collection to cutting edge technology like our Pro-Tools HD-3 system. We can always ensure that instruments get recorded without the slightest compromise in sound quality.

Since our opening of the Selective Frequencies facility in 1990 we have produced hundreds of records for A&M Records, Jive, American/Warner Bros., Alfa/EMI, Black Market/Priority and RCA (to name a few). Recent artists that have infested the new downtown facility include Wyclef Jean, Papa Roach, Black Eyed Peas, E40 and Die Trying, and we are looking forward to a great future.
