Mix Engineer, Pat Olguin has been busy mixing rap artist E40's latest record. So far, only two songs have been mixed, however, the song "Through Tick & Thin" featuring Lil' Mo has already begun to recieve airplay in a few major markets. As a result, this song has been sent to mastering for a vynal release for the clubs to play.

Fighting Papa - wookubus (1:26 PM MST 01/01/2004) Fight The Sky, the new side project of Papa Roach's Jacoby Shaddix, will be entering Sacramento, CA's Velvet Tone Studios to begin recording their debut effort on January 09th. The outing, entitled "Seven Deadly Songs", will see a release through the bands own El Tonal Records later this year. In related news, Papa Roach plan to release both a new album ("Getting Away With Murder"), and an anthology of their indie releases entitled "Viva La Cucaracha" this year through El Tonal as well. December 4, 2003: Wyclef Jean performs an intimate set at Velvet Tone for a small audience. We recorded the amazing performance straight to the hi definition Pro-Tools HD-3 rig. The event will air on 102.5 KSFM at a future date.

September 29, 2003: Velvet Tone would like to congadulate the Black Eyed Peas on the gold certification of their latest release Elephunk. "Anxiety" (track #8), a collaboration between Papa Roach and the Peas, was written and recorded at Velvet Tone in 2002.

Keak Da Sneak's latest release has been recieving heavy airplay on 103.5 The Bomb.

The Adrian & Staci single "Heavy on my Mind" has been getting airplay on 102.5 KSFM.
