These images pose as an exploration between two contrasting urban aspects. One is crawling with life: old, gritty, coarse, organic, dark, rotting, and suffering. The other is completely artificial, dominating, and void of all personality. "Urban Decay" is a collection of imagery from Shaw, one of many ghettos of Washington D.C. It is a celebration of humanity, and an omen of urban renewal and gentrification.
