Hejsan! My name is Astrid, and I was born in Stockholm, Sweden. I make my home in Yorba Linda, California, U.S.A. with my son Stefan and husband Duke. As my job can be pretty stressful sometimes, I have a few hobbies to keep me busy in my off-hours:
Beanie Babies:
I love these little critters! I can never have enough of them. It’s
always fun to go Beanie hunting with my family and my girlfriends from
work. We’re legendary for once showing up at Duke’s work with 25 Happy
Meals we had bought to get the Teeny Beanie Babies inside! But that’s not
my only hobby:
Pokemon:
This is another hobby I can share with my family. Stefan just loves
the games, and the cards, and the toys, and the cartoons, and…well, you
get the idea. My favorites are Vileplume and
Jigglypuff. What are yours?
eBay:
So what do you do when you over-purchase on Beanies and Pokemon? Sell
‘em on eBay, of course! It’s a lot of fun, but can also be a lot of work.
It’s worth it, though, especially when you can buy something worthwhile
with the proceeds:
Dooney and Bourke:
Love their purses. Love their wallets. Hate the prices, but sometimes
you really do get what you pay for….
Scrapbooking:
I love scrapbooking, because it lets me put all our family photos together with small trinkets and words to help everybody remember happy memories. It's also fun to get together with groups of my friends to scrapbook, because I can help my friends learn to design better scrapbook pages and preserve their precious memories. It's so much fun, there should probably be a law against it!
