Connect to WebCast9

WebCast9 is the World's first full-time Bahá'í internet music-based radio station.

WebCast9 has three primary objectives:

1. provide a place where Bahá'ís and their friends can tune to hear music inspired directly and indirectly by the Writings and Teachings of our Faith -- helping to reinforce a person's individual Bahá'í identity.
2. provide a place for those interested in learning about the Bahá'í Faith, while being entertained via the arts.
3. provide a forum for Bahá'í performers throughout the world to garner a wider audience.

We try to fulfill all three of these objectives by producing professional broadcasts which blend diverse musical styles from Rap to Reggae, Classic Rock to Classical, Choral to Country, plus Latin, Eastern and other ethnic musical formats with spoken word recordings and the usual "radio" fare of patter, commercials and public service announcements.

Currently, WebCast9 is running in "Test mode" -- meaning that we have a limited number of connections and are still researching various funding and organizational options. At some point the station will go beyond this initial, experimental stage, and either go "full-time" (meaning unlimited connections, easier connections, paid advertising and/or sponsorships, etc.) or the station will have to fold and go silent.
