1963 Abarth SIMCA 1300

The Simca Abarth was first seen in March 1962. Abarth and his chief engineer, Mario Cuolucci, felt that the a large Simca base would offer the needed stability for the new Abarth 1300 engine. The body was designed and built in house, a first for Abarth. Into the car went the first totally Abarth engine. In 1963 the Simca Abarth achieved over 90 race victories, including class wins at the Sebring 12 Hour, and Daytona.
