Welcome to Sonoma County Children's Music! We are Sonoma County's favorite music program for young children and are honored to have received numerous local & national awards. We won the North Bay Readers Poll as Sonoma County's "Best Local Place to Inspire Kids" for 2002 & 2007 and "Best Independent Summer Camp" for 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2007. We have received awards from Sonoma Family Life Magazine for "Best Music School", "Best Toddler Program", "Best Summer Day Camp" and "Best Party Entertainer/Fran Oglesby". The Kindermusik curricula has won many National Parent's Choice Awards & our Kindermusik Program has been designated a Maestro Program 2002 - 2008 by Kindermusik International as we are ranked in the top 5% of all Kindermusik programs in the United States. We are constantly striving to improve our programs and to offer the very best in music education.

We believe that every child is musical and that music classes for children should be about nurturing the whole child and developing their passion for music making. All our classes focus on the process and joy of making music while nurturing the growth of the whole child. Our developmentally based curricula enhances fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, social, emotional, and musical growth.

Our licensed instructors have extensive training in child development along with their expertise as music educators. They create a relaxed and warm atmosphere in the classroom that is most conducive to learning. Parents are active participants in our programs and home practice is fun with the exceptional home materials that each child receives. Enrolled students and their families receive other benefits such as use of our lending library, free admission to workshops, school parties and special events, priority registration and visits from guest musicians each semester.

Our cornerstone early childhood curricula is Kindermusik, the world's leading music and movement curricula for children. We have the largest Kindermusik program in Northern California with classes for every age group. We have chosen Kindermusik over all the other early childhood curricula on the market because we have found it to be the most developmentally based, comprehensive music program with the highest quality materials available. Kindermusik offers 7 years of curricula that grow with the child from infancy to elementary school. As the child reaches elementary school age he or she is cognitively and emotionally ready for more in-depth instruction in specific areas of study. We offer a variety of instrument, voice, and summer curricula appropriate for this age group.
