I have some older information on the Shepard and Yeomans families from Gene Shepard which I will post sooner [on request] or later.
In August of 2001 we took a trip to the east coast
to see friends and wanderded for a couple of weeks. We drove backroads
thru eastern Conneticut and Massachusits and took a small road up the ridge
of the Berkshires toward New Marlboro. Just south of the very small
town we headed west a couple of miles down a dirt road and found the old
Shepard house. Only the caretaker who had no english was there but I did
get a few pictures. The house was on a rise on the very flat ridge
and must have had a pretty fair view; it was next to a couple of alpaca
ranches. The house had several additions so was quite large and seemed
to be in a fair state of repair.
