There are several string dampers on the market, but the only damper that works well for me is your ordinary household rubber band. I hit with an extreme western forehand with heavy topspin. All other string dampers, and I've tried them all, have popped out each time. I end up loosing them all the time.
Rubber bands are by far much more secure due to the fact they are installed securely with a knot, and they are much more economical. You get about 300 rubber bands in a bag for $.99 USD. A better value for the money wouldn't you say?
