Golden Trout Fund

The Golden Trout Fund is a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit organization dedicated to educating people about the Sierra Nevada Eco-region.

The Sierra Nevada Eco-region is the Crown Jewel of American Landscapes.

Managing these unique landscapes and ecosystems is the responsibility of everyone who is concerned about the quality of "their" National Treasures.

      There are many issues involved with the management of our national resources and landscapes, including, water usage, timber harvest, grazing, urbanization, habitat loss, species fragmentation and loss, recreational use, mining, water and air pollution. In 1973, when the Federal Government passed the Environmental Protection Act, included within that act was a provision that the public have a voice in the management of public property. The Golden Trout Fund believes strongly that the people must participate in these management opportunities to ensure that our National Resources are managed in the best possible manner. The Golden Trout Fund was organized inform people about the Sierra Nevada Eco-region and assist them in participating in the decision making and management processes within the Sierra Nevada.
