A autism site
Well it is 2004 and Samantha is in the middle of her first year in Jr. Hi school. She is in a AUTIM Class without an aide. The class is for middle high age kids. It is still in the same school system. She now rides the County School's van to school.
Samantha is fortunate in that she has had a couple of years in a SDC Class and her new teacher accepts kids who can function basically without a lot of aide time.
She does math to three digit. She can also write legably. Samantha can make up short sentences, count money. She goes to the store and has to buy within the bounderies of the amount of money she can afford.
She has gotten quite proficient on the computer. She has a large vocabulary and can input the computer and knows how to serf the internet and bookmark favorite sites (she is partial to Gwen Stephani).
Her Mother and I (Dad) are taking Samantha and her sister Sarah, to see Barney on April 10th of April. Her Mother and Sister and I took her to see Toy Story on Ice II on Feb. 7th 2003 and she loved it.
Samantha's three year IEP review was Feb. 12th and she has met/exceeded ALL of her goals for the last 12 months. ===================================================================================
