Weddings. Say what? Yes, weddings. I started by officiating at my friends' (Scoop and Melissa) wedding after being ordained as a reverend by the Universal Life Church. It went pretty well and I've done three more since. Since they're friends I don't charge for my services (a recent article in the New York Times, amateur preachers are charging between $350 - $800), but I figure I don't have to buy a wedding present, either.
