Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas, NV. Sin City Sexcapades
Since its development by the notorious mobster Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel Las Vegas has gained infamy as a modern day Sodom in the Nevada desert. A place renowned for glitz and glamour, and shunned It's Only Make Believe. . .as a den of sex and sin.  And a place that would be recognized as Elvis Presley's home more than his residence in Memphis, TN.

In September 1959 Ann-Margret and her musical group, "The Suttletones", began a month long engagement at the Nevada Club in Las Vegas.  The Fabian femme fatale saw this as an excellent opportunity to infiltrate the entertainment industry, and at the same time attract the attention of Las Vegas' movers and shakers so as to further her own career.  During this engagement she met two individuals who would play critical rôles in the JFK assassination: Lee Harvey Oswald and Howard Robard Hughes.

Although a semi-recluse after his grilling in 1947 by the Senate War Investigations Committee, Howard Robard HughesHughes still took advantage of Las Vegas' diversions.  During one of his frequent "sabbaticals" at the Desert Inn & Casino Hughes ventured out to catch Ann-Margret's performance.  Few men could resist the Swedish Siren's song, and Hughes was no exception.   Arranging a back-stage meeting, Hughes spent a joyful evening in a playful but fruitless seduction of the young beauty.  But Hughes was a committed Capitalist, and Ann-Margret immediately realized the futility of recruiting him for Feklisov's ends.  Instead she recognized him as a valuable ally who could prove useful in the future.

During the same engagement Oswald trekked to The Nevada Club to escape his many problems.  He, too, was ensnared by Ann-Margret's allure.  After a night discussing Marxist-Leninist dogma Oswald became putty in her hands, and with little effort she convinced him to defect from the United States to the Soviet Union.Clyde Anderson Tolson and John Edgar Hoover.

Las Vegas was also known for its uproarious celebrations.  On New Years Eve 1959 Francis Albert Sinatra and his "Rat Pack" threw a memorable party to welcome the new decade.  Among the attendees were Marilyn Monroe and Chicago mob boss Salvatore "Sam Momo" Giancana.  At this party Monroe would meet Rat Pack member and Kennedy in-law Peter Sydney Lawford who, with Robert Francis Kennedy's assistance, would murder her in 1962.

Las Vegas was also the favorite tryst site for FBI Director John Edgar Hoover and his constant companion, Clyde Anderson Tolson.  The two favored The Desert Inn, which had the dual advantages of being secluded but close enough to the hub of Las Vegas to provide excitement.  Unbeknownst to them, however, was that Hughes, driven by his paranoid suspicion of government, had their rooms wiretapped.  In late 1962 during one of their frequent visits Hoover and Tolson were tapped discussing the recent suicide/murder of Monroe and of the The Sands Hotel and Casino.Kennedy brothers' involvement.  Later, in 1963, Hughes, knowledgeable of her "friendship" with Monroe, would relay this information to Ann-Margret.

Ann-Margret returned to Las Vegas in July of 1963 to begin filming "Viva Las Vegas" with her friend, Elvis, who arrived with his entourage humorously but accurately known as "The MemphisViva Las Vegas! Mafia".  Among the members of the "Mafia" was Bobby Gene "The Dragon" West, who would appear in the movie and later be the point man for Elvis in Dallas.  By this time Ann-Margret knew all of the details of Monroe's suicide/murder, and having sworn vengeance on the Kennedy clan resolved to enlist Elvis' assistance.  After a torrid night of lovemaking at the Sands Hotel & Casino she tried to solicit his cooperation.  Failing, she then used her knowledge of the attempted assassination of Maj. Gen. Edwin Anderson Walker to blackmail him.  Elvis knew he had no choice, and agreed to arrange her revenge.  And so the plot to assassinate JFK was hatched.
