The following page is a humorous look into some Caltrans and local agency classic mistakes. As human beings we are all allowed to make some mistakes. But when Caltrans and local agencies make one, we all get a front row seat view of it.

My name is Joel Windmiller. a.k.a. the "HIGHWAYMAN."During the past year, I have been traveling all over the state in search of blooper and oddity signs on our state, county, and city roadways. With my fascination of highways and signs, I am constantly on the lookout for sign mistakes and signs that don't look right. My page has become very popular at Caltrans; I have received several e-mails from Caltrans employees. Check out my Caltrans Blooper E-Mail page to read their responses

Below you will see district-by-district maps, in order to see photo albums of each district just click on the map of the district you would like to view. Living in North-Central California makes it hard for me to get to certain parts of the state. So I am asking for your help if you find a sign that doesn't look right, snap a picture of it, and send it to me with the location of where you discovered it. I will give you full credit for the photo.
