______________ . . . ______________
Trade Cruncher will find the nearest tradeable fraction to the percent given and adjust the percent accordingly. This can be confusing when using very small prices or very small percents. In this example I put in 14% but it found 4 5/16 at 13.8%.
Here is an example of a small percent and a small price. I put a stop price in at 1% from the buy price. 1% is to small (or near) the buy price so Trade Cruncher finds 1/16 to be the nearest tradeable fraction. Even 24% is too near to 1/16 because 1/16 is such a small number. The only tradeable fraction under 1/16 is 1/32.
Trade Cruncher will not accept percents in the stop price field while the buy price is 1/32 (the smallest tradeable fraction).
Trade Cruncher will round numbers like a bank.
So instead of: ( .03125 x 10 = .3125 = .31 )
you pay ( .03125 x 10 = .3125 = .32 ).
The buy price can never be a percent. Keep your eye on the "message bar"
on the very bottom of the dialog to inform you what may be wrong with a certain input you
are trying. What would it be a percent of?
Here is a quick way to find a tradeable fraction for any price. Lets say someone mentions a buy price of 2.47. Put that into the buy field and click the nudge down button (-) the buy price should change to 2.43750 or 2 7/16 then click the nudge up button (+). Now the tradeable fraction for 2.47 should be displayed as 2.46875 and 2 15/32.
