Welcome to the CEU Summer 2000 Web Site, created primarily for the participants of the four-week summer session entitled “Issues and Resources in Central Europe for Research on the Middle Ages.” This site is not official, but was put together so that summer session participants can view photos of where we went and who we went with, and remember our summer together.

The site is in nine sections. Following this Welcome page is Dramatis Personae, with a photograph of everyone in the session. Then comes Budapest, and after that our field trips to Transdanubia, Cracow, Visegrad, and Prague. There is a special group of photos from our Farewell Dinner in Trest, and finally a Credits page. Links to each section are at the bottom of each page, as are arrows for navigating between pages of a section and to the top of the page.

A few of the portraits in Dramatis Personae were contributed or copied from other web sites. All other photographs are originals taken by session participants. Click on the Back button of your web browser to return to the web page.

We tried to be accurate in identifying people and places. There may be errors, though, and your feedback is appreciated. If you see a mistake, or would like to contribute a bit of history on a favorite place, please contact us. Comments are welcome, and we may post them at the end of the site. If you know of a relevant web site of good quality, please email its address to us and we will include a link to it. If you do not like the photograph we have of you in Dramatis Personae, please send a replacement to our address on the Credits page. And if you have any photographs of the session you would like to see on the site, please send them to us with captions. (We don’t have photos of everything!) We will scan and return at your request any photographs mailed to us. We will also give you credit for your contribution in the caption. Emailed scans with captions are especially welcome.
