Andouille is a long-haired miniature dachshund who goes by "Andy."
He was born on March 7, 1999.  He descends from the most illustrious of breeds,  and both of his parents were champion show dogs.  Sadly, his line will end with him, since his gonads will soon have been surgically removed.

Throughout history, celebrities, philosphers, intellectuals, kings, queens and statesmen from Queen Victoria to Napoleon Bonaparte, from J.D. Salinger to Plato, have worshipped this lovely breed.

These pages offer a history of the breed, some of its historical adherants, and how it gave rise to the perfect dog - Andouille.
