An eGroups discussion group has been set up for MPRO members.
It is an interactive discussion group that allows members to exchange emails, like a mailing list. But it also provides an online chat facility, a place to upload files of general interest to the members, and many other features that will help improve communications between MPRO members. In addition, the MPRO eGroup is a private group -- only members of the MPRO are allowed to join, and only members of the MPRO eGroup can view the messages and the membership list. Note that eGroups doesn't cost anything to join or to use, however a small advertisement is inserted at the top of each eGroups message (which, like TV commercials, you should just ignore!).
Do you need to arrange a carpool to rehersals or the next MPRO concert? Do you want to ask someone what the heck Fred meant by "te dl dee dl" at the last rehersal? Well, the MPRO eGroup is the place to ask and answer these kinds of things.
To join the MPRO eGroup, simply enter your email in the registration form to the MPRO. The MPRO Membership board member is also the eGroup moderator and will add you to the MPRO eGroup. You should receive an email message from the moderator in a day or so, explaining how to log onto eGroups and use its many features. The MPRO eGroup membership account is a benefit of paid associate or participating membership in the MPRO – take advantage of it!
