Quadianism/or Ahmadyia [from www.shianews.com]
By Sayyid Zileyh Hassnane Shah
The word Quadianism or Ahmadyia was originally rooted from the name Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Quadiani, the original founder of a cult movement in India in the late 1800. Mirza Ahmad held that he was the alleged Imam Mehdi and Prophet Esa in one person and that he was the awaited one. Although such claims were diabolical, he has, surprisingly, managed to bring millions of people into his mass movement. This was also a political movement or strategy hindered by the British Empire in India to divide and conquer over the Muslims. Even today it is evident, these people are occupying high positions in society, and like the Jews are well structured and organised.
I am going to briefly sum up the differences between Ahmadyyaism and the rest of the Muslims in terms of belief. The vital differences are as follows:
- The Ahmadies proclaim that the Khatum-e- Nabie or the Seal of the Prophethood does not lie on the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (PBUMHA) and that it is continuous. This is the crucial difference as it throws them out of the folds of Islam, and hence, kafir. Allah Almighty says in the Quran: "Muhammad is not The father of any Of your men, but(he is) The Messenger of Allah And the Seal of the Prophets(33:40)
- In their feeble attempt they try to justify the meaning of the above Ayah and the word Khatum. Exhausting all the possible meanings of this word, i.e. ring, stamp or last. One can logically see that the only suitable meaning is the last or final Prophet in the context with the verse and the whole Quran. When a document is sealed, it is complete. Thus nothing can be added to it. According to the Shia school of thought when Prophethood is sealed Imamat begins, who are the preservers of the Deen. To back this up further there are many Ahadith which clearly prove that Muhammad (saww)was the last Prophet.
- In Sahih Bukhari, the Prophet Muhammad has clearly said that there would be no Prophet after him in his final sermon on his last hajj i.e. Hajjatul Wida.
- Another Hadith in the Sahih says with regards to this:Oh Ali your position to me is like Harouns Position to Musa except there will be no Prophet after me. etc. etc.
- Even in the Biblical passages Hazrat Esa(as) mentions another (i.e. ONE more) Prophet after him in song of Solomns 5:16
- The Ahamdiyya also say that Esa (AS) went up the cross but died a natural Death afterwards. Allah states in the Quran: "That they said in boast We killed Christ Jesus The son of Mary The Messenger of Allah But they killed him not Nor crucified him. Only a likeness of that Was shown to them." (4:157) From the above verses it is clear that Esa bin Mariam did not die at the hands of the people and was never crucified.
- Allah also says: "Of the people of the Book But must believe in him Before his Death And on the Day of Judgement."(4:159) Another point to note is that this Ayah is saying that one can ONLY BELIEVE in Esa(as) BEFORE HIS DEATH and on the day of Judgement.
- Another crucial point as it shows a contradiction in belief, i.e. their belief in the natural death of Esa and the so called Messiah. And also anyone in the past who had been up on the cross has not survived. In the bible the verse John 5:7"During the days of Jesus life were taken up on earth, he offered up prayers and petition with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from his death, and he was heard because of his reverence submission." Also in James 5:16"the prayer of the righteous man is powerful and effective" If a prayer from a righteous person such as Jesus was heard this means it was answered by Allah, hence this also invalidates the claim that Jesus was crucified. This argument can also be brought in front of the Christians as well as the Ahmadies.
- The so called Prophet (Mirza Qadiani) who claimed that he was Mehdi had an Impeccable timing of his arrival, especially when the Hadiths clearly state all the vital signs that would prevail before the reappearance did not even exist at that time.
In conclusion when one weighs up all the evidence from the Quran and the hadith one can clearly distinguish between the Haq and Batil. In past, many people have claimed to bring new religion and Prophecies mainly for power, leadership or merely a strategic move for political gain. Qadianism is nothing more than a political conspiracy by the west to used as a weapon and asset against the Muslims. But Allah Says: "Nay we hurl the Truth Against falsehood, and it knocks Out its brain, and behold, Falsehood doth perish Ah! Woe to you For the false things Ye ascribe to Us." (21:18)
