DICK CATHCART -- Trumpet
One of the finest dixieland trumpeters of all time. Best known for his "ghost playing" of Pete Kelly in the radio show, film and TV shows Pete Kelly's Blues. Worked with Alvino Rey, Ray McKinley, Bob Crosby, Ben Pollack and Ray Noble. Guest star at many jazz festivals.
BUDDY CLARK -- Bass
Worked with Bud Freeman, Tex Beneke, Les Brown, Peggy Lee, Red Norvo and Gerry Mulligan. Part of the original Supersax band, working directly with Med Flory in transcribing Charlie Parker solos in the early '70s. Continues with an active studio career.
MAHLON CLARK -- Clarinet
Versatile musicians worked with Lawrence Welk for many years. Active studio musician whose credits include Madonna, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald.
FRED COOPER -- Reeds
One of jazz's truly distinctive voices on the baritone. The past 27 years with Les Brown's Band of Renown. Innumerable Hollywood credits. A close collaborator with Dick Cary for decades.
BOB ENOVOLDSEN -- Trombone
Has been described as the perfect utility jazz player. Although best-known as a valve trombonist, Enevoldsen is also a talented tenorman and has filled in on string bass too. Moved to Los Angeles in 1951 and became a busy studio musician, appearing on West Coast jazz dates headed by Gerry Mulligan, Shorty Rogers, Shelly Manne and Marty Paich among many others. Worked on Steve Allen's television series. Enevoldsen recorded as a leader for Nocturne and Liberty.
GENE ESTES -- Drums
Credits with Jack Teagarden, Tex Beneke, Harry James, etc. Worked in all major film, TV and recording studios. One of the most in-demand drummers, he is capable of filling any percussion assignment. Also plays vibes in his own Gene Estes Quartet.
JACK FEIERMAN -- Trumpet
Outstanding trumpet player and conductor. Recorded extensively with Count Basie and also with John Fahey and Lincoln Mayorca, among others.
DICK FORREST -- Trumpet
Has worked in orchestras let by Billy Butterfield, Tony Pastor, Louie Bellson, Woody Herman and many more. Very active in Los Angeles' jazz scene.
GARY FOSTER -- Reeds
An excellent cool-toned straight-ahead altoist influenced by Lee Konitz and Warne Marsh, Gary Foster's years in the studios have often been underrated despite his talents. UCLA -- Visiting Associate Professor of Woodwinds.
DICK HAFER -- Reeds
Wonderful tenor sax player who worked with Charlie Barnet, Claude Thornhill and Woody Herman, Benny Goodman Bobby Hackett and Charles Mingus, among others. Made a strong impression with his 1994 release Prez Impressions (a tribute to Lester Young).
DICK HAMILTON -- Leader, Trumpet, Alto Horn, Trombone, Piano
One of Los Angeles' most accomplished studio musicians. Composes, produces, arranges and performs on countless albums, soundtracks and commercials. Originally played trombone with Dick Cary's rehearsal band as early as 1966. He is the new leader of Dick Cary's Tuesday Night Friends.
TERRY HARRINGTON -- Reeds
One of jazz's most brilliant soloists. A first-call studio musician in Los Angeles for many years. Repeatedly recognized for excellence by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. Dick Cary wrote volumes of music for Harrington.
BOB HAVENS -- Trombone
One of Dixieland's greatest trombonists. Worked and recorded with Pete Fountain and Al Hirt in New Orleans. Then 23 years with the Lawrence Welk Orchestra as featured jazz artist. Currently a guest star at numerous worldwide jazz festivals.

Possibly the world's most sought-after Swing-style clarinetist. A most distinguished career in the best big-bands. Recreated the jazz of Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Woody Herman and Barney Bigard for the acclaimed Time/Life recording series.
ROGER NEUMANN -- Reeds
An experienced tenor player with credits including Woody Herman, Bob Crosby and Anita O'Day. As an arranger, has worked for Buddy Rich, Count Basie, Ray Brown and the Beach Boys. Leads his own acclaimed "Rather Large Band."
TOMMY NEWSOM -- Clarinet, Soprano, Tenor and Baritone Saxophones

BETTY O'HARA -- Trombone, Baritone Horn, Double-Belled Euphonium
The late Betty O'Hara was one of the world's greatest female brass instrumentalists. Co-leads the all-woman quintet The Jazzbirds and is a featured soloist in the all-woman big-band Maiden Voyage. Travels worldwide as a guest-star at jazz festivals.
HARVEY PHILLIPS -- Tuba and Bass
Friend and collaborator with Dick Cary. Phillips has an amazing catalog of recorded jazz appearances including with Gil Evans, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Jimmy McPartland and Wes Montgomery. He is a retired Professor Emeritus at the Indiana University School of Music.
JOHN SETAR -- Reeds
Prominent studio musician in Los Angeles. At home in many styles of jazz and klezmer music. Recorded three albums with Bill Tole.
PUTTER SMITH -- Bass
World-class bassist with recording credits including Alan Broadbent, Karrin Allyson and Betty O'Hara among many others. Recorded two excellent albums as a leader.
BOB SUMMERS -- Trumpet
Left Berklee College of Music and has been "on the road" every since. Recorded with Maynard Ferguson, Count Basie and Bill Holman, among others. In 1994, world tour with the Horace Silver Brass Ensemble.
ERNIE TACK -- Bass Trombone
Stalwart with the NBC Orchestra on the Tonight Show for 20 years. Like JohnBambridge, a regular member of Ray Conniff's Orchestra for 37 years. The most sought-after bass-trombonist in Hollywood for decades.
JACK TROTT -- Trumpet
Veteran of the bands of Harry James, Skinny Ennis and Roger Neumann. Many film-soundtrack credits. First began rehearsing with Dick Cary's Big Band in 1959.
JERRY WHITE -- Drums
Touring credits include Rosemary Clooney, Helen O'Connell, Margaret Whiting and Rose Marie. Recorded with The Mills Brothers and Kay Starr. A regular band-member with Ray Conniff since 1989, he has recorded 5 albums with Conniff.
ZEKE ZARCHY -- Trumpet
One of the greatest lead trumpet players ever to emerge in the swing era, Zeke's brilliant trumpet sound has sparked almost every major Swing orchestra since Benny Goodman. The first man chosen by Glenn Miller for what was to become his famous Army Air Force Band. His travels have included many tours to Europe, South America and Australia along with thirty-two trips to Japan.
