The National UFO Hotline wishes to advise that the Hotline has received a
number of calls

from South East Queensland between 8.00PM and 9.00PM, 8th Oct.,Adelaide,at
10.05 PM

Minto near Sydney at 10.45 PM.,Melbourne, Yarra Valley at 11:45 PM.and Roma
S.A. at 2.30am 9th Oct. 1996

Queensland callers report seeing a large aerial "green or blue illumination
speeding overhead under cloud cover" travelling on a northerly heading from
the south.

Coolangatta callers claimed that the object was an intense blue colour and
about "the size of a Range Rover" as one caller said, while Brisbane
callers stated that the object was indeed large

but was "lime green" in colour, travelling under the cloud cover.

All Queensland callers indicated that they only sighted the object for a
about 5-10 seconds offering an estimate speed of 4800+ Klms per hour.

Sydney, Minto 10:45 PM respondents callers report seeing a fixed triangle
array of 3 bright orange or yellow illumination travelling over the
Holsworthy Army base heading towards Wollongong, covering about 50klms in
distance in 10-15 mins. Callers stated that there was no sound and the
lights did not flicker.

Adelaide callers reported sighting a red, blue and yellow object low in the
sky jumping up and down. Hotline explained to these callers that it is most
likely to be star refraction through moist air pockets. However, from Roma
S.A a caller reported seeing a large blue white object speeding towards the
Victorian boarder at 2.30 AM 9th Oct.1996 and making a rumbling loud noise.

Melbourne, Yarra Valley, 11:45, 11:50 and 11:51PM respondent callers report
sighting 3 golden yellow illumination. The first reported object was gold
in colour with 4 red lights underneath

and was as large as full moon at 90 degs. It travelling from north north
east to south west over

the valley under cloud cover or mist..

The Hotline has been quite for a number of weeks however, we expect a flood
of calls in the coming days and weeks.
