ABDUCTION CASE, UFO SIGHTINGS

Nineteen year-old Claudia lives in the town of San Bernardo, 30 minutes
outside the Chilean capital city of Santiago. On the night of Saturday,
January 30, 1997, Claudia was reportedly abducted, disappearing for a
period of three hours. She says she knew that she was going to be abducted,
because extraterrestrials told her telepathically that they were going to
meet her that night. They told her that she had something that belonged to
them.
Claudia told her family in advance, so they tried to protect her, but
without success. Nearby neighbors reportedly saw strange lights (some said
that it was a UFO). Claudia reappeared three hours later inside a locked
schoolyard, so no one can explain how she got there. She was found by the
school's night watchman, who helped her telephone her parents. When found,
Claudia was all wet for no apparent reason.
Two marks appeared on Claudia's stomach: above her navel, a small circle,
and above that a triangle. She said that the aliens put her on a table, did
something on her stomach, and then removed a fetus surrounded by thin white
and transparent tissue. She said she also saw many other fetuses on board
the craft, held in some kind of glass container.
She said her abductors told her a secret that she dared not repeat, or her
family would be in danger.
Claudia is being examined by a medical doctor and psychiatrist, Dr. Mario
Doussel. He has conducted research on abductees and collaborates with the
Chilean UFO organization called AION, directed by Mr. Rodrigo Fuenzalida.
This case is also being analyzed by Mr. Jorge Anfruns, who represent the
MUFON organization in Chile.
In the words of Mr. Anfruns, "We have before us a real case here."
Claudia claims that she recalls other alien encounters since she was 13
years old. She has lately been interviewed by journalists from Argentina,
Colombia and Spain, as well as Chile.
On Sunday, February 9 at 10:30 pm, a UFO was seen by many witnesses in
various locations in the eastern part of Santiago, Chile's capital city, at
a place called "Lo Caoa" in the foothills of the Andes. The UFO descended
slowly and then split in two. One of the two UFOs then headed south, while
the other UFO descended further and then stopped.
Then, witnesses said, approximately eight fireballs emerged from this UFO,
emitting so much light that an area of about 12 blocks was illuminated. The
balls of fire changed colors and shape, and danced up, down and sideways.
Electromagnetic effects were detected on radio equipment.
The UFOs were reportedly detected by the Aerodromo de Tobalaba, a small
airport for civilian and police aircraft that is close to the site.
The sightings concluded at about 1:30 a.m, some three hours after they
began.
Another unusual case came to light just a few days ago. Fuenzalida said
that an electrical engineer, who lives in the "Penalolen" district of
Santiago and wishes to remain anonymous, was driving his car toward home at
night when he saw a small ball of orange light over a tower, flying in
circles. Suddenly this ball came down to ground level and headed toward his
car. His immediate reaction was to stop the car.
The ball of light reportedly headed straight for his car, spinning as it
came, and went right through his windshield. It stopped inside the car and
began floating over the back seat. Then it turned into a jelly-like
substance, and then into a hard round ball, like an egg, which fell on the
back seat of the car.
The man drove home and checked his windshield, which was undamaged. He then
found the ball still on the back seat.
Rodrigo Fuenzalida says he has now acquired this ball and has arranged to
have it studied by two qualified laboratories.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS / SIGHTINGS FROM CHILE

There have been many small sightings of UFOs and Fire Balls throughout
Chile (North to South, mostly South region witch is by the way, more
populated too).
The most important were two Close Encounters that took place last
weekend...
First Case :
Feb. 13, 1997. Maybe around 11:30 P.M
A women who lives in the South area of Santiago called "Gran Avenida,
sector el LLANO" was in bed trying to go to sleep (her husband works at
night, so she was alone with her two small children) when she heard a
"SSSSSHHHHH" sound (like when the TV is on without any signal), so she
raised her head and looked at the TV set (end of the room) and was shocked
to find a small person, 1.55 or 1.60 meters tall wearing a tight suite and
helmet. The helmet had a visor but she could see no eyes. This being was
wearing also a backpack that was conected to the helmet by two houses (one
over each shoulder). She was scared to death. So she grabed both of her
kids (sleep in the same room) and stayed there just watching.
This being never took his eyes off her (followed her with head movements).
He the walked a few steps, heard the "SSSSSSHHHHH" sound again and the
being dissapeared through the wall leaving his silouete (on the wall) that
lasted for about two minutes. She called her husband and left her house.
She hasn't been back since that night. Now she's with her parents. AION
(UFO group) is analising the house looking for any possible evidence.
UFO's were seen days before and after this encounter in the near by areas.
Second Case :
Feb, 16, 1997 - 4:30/5:00 A.M.
This case developed at a location called "Lago Rapel"(Rapel Lake) that's
about 3 hours from Santiago.(South-East).
Two kids (14 and 16 years old) were heading home after a party, they soon
found out that they were being followed by a UFO, so they hurried to get
home fast. Once they got home they saw that the UFO was still out there, so
they whent into the house and wokeup their father (who thought that they
were joking) and draged him out. To their surprise, the UFO was LANDED ON
THE GROUND and a small being was standing out. The being was about 1.50
meters tall, big and bald head (no description about the eyes) and was
wearing a blueish suite. All of them got scared and ran to hide until it
was gone.
UFO's and Fire Balls have been seen in this area, including an active
member of AION. They will be traveling to see the marks left by the
landing...
Rodrigo Fuenzalida (President of AION) told me that UFO sightings have not
really growed much, instead people are talking more about their sighting
and experiences. But what has him really puzzled is that the sightings are
more longer. They (UFO/Fire Balls) are exposseing themselves for longer
periods of time (1 to 2 hours) with many witnesses.
A very interesting case took place at a location called "CHIVILINGO" (6th
region of Chile, South of Santiago) on Feb. 16, 1997 around 12:30 P.M.
A well known M.D. (Doctor), with many other witnesses saw the following and
incredible "UFO METAMORPHOSIS". The following sighting lasted no longer
than 2 minutes.
- First saw what seemed to be an elongated cloud
- it split into two cigar shape UFO's
- they come together again making cigar shape
- now they split into FOUR small cigar shape UFO's
- they manuver turning into a solid triangle shape UFO
- the triangle UFO makes some horizontal manuvers
- changes into a cigar shape (one)
- splits again into two cigar shape UFO's
- they give the impression of starting to inflate
- now the two objects become FOUR cigar shape UFO's
- they speed away....
This was seen by many witnesses and there maybe some pictures taken by a
truck driver...

CHILE ADMITS CURRENT UFO FLAP IS "FOR REAL"
On Monday, March 31, 1997, at 12:55 a.m., three UFOs were seen by people
working in the control tower at Aeropuerto Internactional de Chacalluta,
just outside of Arica, the northernmost city in Chile.
According to the eyewitnesses, the UFOs were hovering just offshore, over
the Pacific Ocean, near Morro de Arica (hill) and remained there for two
hours. At about 3 a.m., the objects "flew away at very high speed," heading
for the Andes.
Airport director Julio Schettner said the UFOs hovered "at an altitude
between 3,000 and 4,500 meters (10,000 to 15,000 feet) and emitted blue,
red, green and yellow lights which made them clearly visible to the naked
eye."
Schettner added, "In our tower, it was not possible to track them on radar,
so we contacted control towers in (Arequipa) Peru and Santiago (de Chile).
None of them had flights registering in Arica at that moment." He added
that he "had been doubtful about the existence of UFOs but not any more,"
adding that they left Arica "at an astonishing speed." (See the newspaper

On Wednesday, April 2, 1997, the Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil
(DGAC), Chile's civilian aeronautical ministry, announced that the three
UFOs in Arica had been confirmed on radar.
DOAC radar and Fuerzas Aereas de Chile (FACh) air force radar tracked the
Arica UFOs "travelling at speeds of up to 12,800 kilometers (8,000 miles)
per hour." In the capital, Santiago de Chile, a DGAC spokesman said, "Chile
is experiencing OVNI (Spanish acronym for UFO) sightings. The phenomenon is
real. It is not meteoric or climactic." (See the newspaper La Cuarta of
